Nassau, NP, Bahamas (Jun 26, 2014) – The Bahamas Bridal Association (BBA) and The Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) have partnered to offer Bahamian and Caribbean Wedding Professionals access to ABC’s Professional Development Program as well access to ABC’c local networking events, seminars, and conferences.
The Association of Bridal Consultants has been the professional organization for the wedding industry since 1955 and has over 4,000 members, currently located in all 50 states, and in 31 countries. The Association of Bridal Consultants is a membership service organization, designed to increase awareness of the benefits of working with a wedding planner, and to improve professionalism in the wedding industry.

The course will provide all of the information one will need to get started and become successful in the wedding industry. Courses and seminars are also periodically updated to reflect changes in the industry.
The primary course content consists of the ABC Professional Development Program and will follow the five major sections of the current ABC program including:
Etiquette: Planning the “perfect” wedding; including invitations, announcements, parties, gifts, and a special section on second weddings.
Sales and Marketing: The business side of being a consultant; including marketing, advertising, media relations, company organization and finances.
Wedding Day: The ceremony and reception; including seating arrangements, protocol, catering, rentals, at-home functions and similar functions. Different major religious ceremonies are covered as well.
Related Services: The “other things” that are so much a part of every wedding; including flowers, fashion, jewelry, gifts, photography, and entertainment.
Planning and Consulting: Details about organizing, planning, and carrying out the consultant’s role; and also understanding the bride’s emotions. Includes information on how to develop and grow your consulting business.
Students who successfully complete the course will earn the professional designation of ABC Certified Wedding Planner™.
The normal pricing (of $695) is reduced to $595.00 per student, for those who sign up through BBA’s website and use the promo code ”ABC-BBA Bahamas program’. The price also includes a free one year ABC novice membership as a well as free six months novice BBA membership.
The course has a final exam and a final project. The goal is to have the student successfully complete this course, and give the student the knowledge, credentials, and confidence to successfully work in the multibillion dollar wedding industry.
